Go through the door

Helen Keller said this:
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”

Too many times, I have been guilty of staring at a closed door. Only when I’ve reached beyond the anger and sadness have I seen the open door.

Stepping through it, I’m suddenly Dorothy stepping into the Land of Oz. The world is alive with color and joy and possibilities I never let myself imagine before, love I’ve never let myself feel before.

Sure, Oz doesn’t last forever. Neither does joy. It has to be replenished. You have to go back to the well. You have to take a new journey.

You have to look for another open door.

Stop wasting precious seconds. Walk through the open door waiting for you.

Find the open door. It’s right there.
I promise.
